The Olmedilla PV plant is a 169 MWp of installed power thanks to more than 340,000 solar panels distributed in 5 subfields. All these photovoltaic panels are connected to more than 700 string inverters and 22 transformation centers, which deliver the energy produced to the Olmedilla 30/132kV substation. From here, through a high-voltage overhead line of almost 8km, the energy is evacuated to the Sabinar 132/400kV and then from there, through an underground ultra-high-voltage 400 kV line, all the energy produced is injected into the public network. .
In summary, the Olmedilla project can be considered as a large project that brings together 5 other projects: PV plant, Olmedilla 30/132kV Substation, 132kV Overhead Line, Sabinar 132/400kV Substation and 400kV underground cable.
The expected production of this project is 350,000 MWh per year, enough energy to supply 100,000 homes and save the environment the emission of 90,600 tons of CO2 per year.
